I’m looking forward to hearing from Kristina Koehler-Coluccia of Woodburn Accountants & Advisors talk about “The 10 biggest mistakes companies make in China” at our next ACSME webinar next Thursday 29th October 2020 at 5pm (Sydney time). Looking through Kristina’s e-book, I am drawn to the 10th biggest mistake, “Fear”, which is very relevant right now as we look towards a post-Covid economic future. As she says “Business owners are courageous. They must be. It takes courage and an appetite for risk to get any new venture off the ground. But everyone has their limit and sometimes it is the fear of sailing into shark-infested waters that holds entrepreneurs back from doing the things they know they need to do to grow. Fear can be paralysing: the fear of numbers, fear of analysis, fear of improving things, fear of doing things you do not like to do”.

It seems to me that the powerful human emotion of “Fear” has taken over from the “Greed” which has propelled the global economy for the past decade or two, and this may be holding leaders back at a time when courage, strength and a bold vision is required. Kristina’s experience of working with European companies in China will provide some valuable insights and I hope you will join us by registering via this link.
